Well, the last week of Feats of Speed is finally upon us. Lemme go check the Creators’ Blog to see what race we have today!

  1. I thought the sneakers were going to be light green, not “emerald.” Whatever though…the real problem is…
  2. WHY IS IT ON GALACTIC HOT DOGS ISLAND?!? I’m sorry Creators, but GHD is my all-time least favorite island, especially because of the Ghost Ship part, which is where the race is.

Looks like I’m not even going to attempt this race…gotta go before I go into hate-GHD-rant mode for the third time in the past couple weeks…BYE!!!

Oh, and last week’s race is currently on the app. Which is odd cause Mocktropica Island hasn’t even been added to the app yet. Plus, I need to admit something…

I haven’t played the Pop app in months.

I just like the online version better…more content, that’s for sure.

Ze Blue Shoes Are Finally Here!

Hey guys. So, today I checked the Creators’ Blog like I always do, and this week’s Feats of Speed race is out. And it’s the blue sneakers! I’ve been waiting so long for these, they match my Poptropican’s outfit perfectly.

Screenshot 2016-05-05 at 4.35.48 PM.png

This time the race is on Mocktropica, a race of endurance on Mount Funshine. I got a time of…well, this happened:

Screenshot 2016-05-05 at 4.45.27 PM.png

Had to re-login to Pop and everything. And when I did, I failed the race. I’ll try again later, I guess…

Anyways, what time did you get? And did you experience the same glitch as I did? Share in the comments!

Make sure to head over to Home Island before the sneakers are gone next week.

As for the Island Replay Challenge, I’m only on Spy Island right now. As you can see, I’m really behind. I’ll try to catch up this weekend, hopefully.

Putting Out The Fire: Remembering Small Fire

Hey, Poptropicans.

Today is a sad day. Small Fire had to leave the community last night. For real this time. So we are making this post to honor him.

Here are some quotes-

Tall Cactus: “I’ll sure miss the guy. He was so funny and was such a great glitcher and author.”

Infinity App Nerd:Hnzoo Uriv rh gsv urihg NKY zfgsli R xlfow ivozgv gl. Dv’oo nrhh blf nzm. Nvtz ulivez.”

Mighty Gamer: Small Fire was a great author, and we’ll all miss him. He was a great blogger, and friend.

Popular Wolf: “Although he be a Small Fire, his embers shall rage on in my heart.”

Brave Dolphin: “Small Fire was honestly, a really sweet and funny author. He put in lots of his effort and time into making the MPB great. I know this sounds cheesy, but SF was an excellent author, and we shall never forget him. Meep.”

He will always be remembered. MEEEEEEEP!

Monkeys Have Invaded the Poptropica App!

Hey guys! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday! Monday is the best day of the week! Just kidding.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that there has been an update for the app. You can now play Monkey Wrench Island on the go! That was only a month late. Whatever.

Now we just have to wait for the day when Mocktropica, Poptropolis Games, Virus Hunter, and Monster Carnival are added to the app. They seem to be only adding the SUIs. For now.

Recap: TC’s 1 Year Poptropica Anniversary Party!

(Pic made by Small Fire)

Earlier tonight, I hosted a celebration for my 1 Year Anniversary of discovering Poptropica! It was a blast. Way more people showed up than I expected, including two PHB authors, Cobalt and Ultimate iPad Expert! Everyone had fun hanging out on the chat, and even though it got a little quiet towards the end, it was still awesome.

There were two different multiverses, filled with sneezing powder, whoopee cushions, dancing cake costumes, and crazy items from the olden days of Poptropica. We had fun playing games with each other and there was even a dance competition at one point.

For those who couldn’t make it, don’t worry! There will be more parties in the future.

When I first started Poptropica one year ago, I had no idea how much I would eventually love it. And to everyone reading this, I just want to say thank you. The community is the main reason of me still being here. You guys are absolutely amazing!

Here’s to one year of Poptropica, and for many more years to come!

HOW: By starring at a computer screen

I’ll see you guys tonight! I will update this post when it starts and when it’s over. And before I go, here is a pic of my Poptropican when I first started:

Theory: The Pilgrims of Early Poptropica

Ah, Early Poptropica.

Screenshot 2016-03-15 at 5.43.33 PM.png

That 5-minute long island brings back so much nostalgia. Not for me of course, since I’ve only been playing since March 2015, but for all of you long time Poptropicans, it sure does. Anyway, you might be like, “How does an island as simple and straight-forward as this have enough content for a full blown theory?” Well, Monkey Wrench Island is even easier than Early Poptropica, being a tutorial and all, yet that island went ahead and revealed where the blimp came from! So yes, I do in fact have a major theory about Early Pop that will change the way you think about it forever. How would you feel if I told you that the pilgrims are the characters of a 1982 arcade game.

Shocked, aren’t you? You shouldn’t be, as the evidence was around you this entire time and you didn’t realize at all. First of all, just look at those guys! They are pixelated! You can’t get anymore proof than that. Also, the supposed Early Poptropica part of the town was founded, by the pilgrims, in 1982, the year when arcade games were equivalent to today’s cell phones.

And how do you explain this?!?

It literally was called Poptropica’s 8-BIT Birthday. Which explains it all.

But if they are from an arcade game, then how did they end up on Early Poptropica? Well, here’s my idea of what happened. So, sometime in 1982, at an arcade, a game about pilgrims and their pig malfunctioned and the characters got stuck in the real world. Some people saw and got freaked out, so the pilgrims had to escape on a ship. They landed on Early Poptropica, where no one lived yet, and started a small town there, never ageing, and living like people in the 1600s because that’s what they were programmed to do. Then, many years later, more people moved to the other side of the island, making Early Poptropica the same way it was in 2007, and it still remains that way today, March 15th, 2016.

Wait, it’s March 15th?!? Beware the Ides of March, Poptropicans. 😉
